PI Claims Handlers

We are seeking to recruit several Personal Injury Insurance Claims Handlers to join our expanding Firm.
With this continued growth in mind and our increased workload we are seeking experienced RTA Insurance Claim Handlers.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for liaising with the insured party taking full details of the claim, using our case management system.

To be successful in this role, candidates will have previous proven experience of personal injury work from either a personal injury claimant or insurance background, dealing with claims in accordance with Ministry of Justice or Financial Services Authority procedures.

Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently to ensure targets and deadlines are met. Experience of working with a case management system would be desirable, however is not essential.

Main Duties:

  1. Action all cases in line with the Firm/Client service standards and protocols
  2. Handling Claims within the MOJ protocol
  3. Use of the Case Management system and/or use of standard documentation
  4. Liaise with the insured party to take full details of the claim
  5. Work with the loss adjuster or insurer to ensure the claim is genuine
  6. Liaise with others within the claims team to discuss liability issues when required in order to process the claim effectively
  7. To Liaise professionally with all relevant parties in order to progress claims
  8. To produce accurate loss of use information as justification of vehicle hire periods that can be forwarded to third party insurers
  9. To maintain at all times good professional and ethical standards in dealing with client’s and other persons and interests.
